About Us

Who We Are

Double Springs Baptist Church is a multi-generational Southern Baptist Church that worships in ways that are both traditional and new. We have ministries for all ages, from birth through senior adults. Our music is praise band driven, and while we focus on newer songs that you may hear on the radio, we always include some of the older hymns that you may have grown up on. Our preaching is Bible-based, practical and relevant and you will learn how to apply God's Word to everyday life. You'll find the majority of our congregation dressed casually, while some choose to dress up.

Our Purpose

We exist to encounter our community with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We believe all people are important in the eyes of God and that He will meet you wherever you are in life. We seek to be a church where you will be encouraged and strengthened by the power of Jesus Christ and as a result, discover a life of purpose and peace through Him.

Our Beliefs

We agree with the Baptist Faith and Message, our denominational statement of faith.

Leadership

The leadership team is a group of committed followers of Jesus, who desire to use their God-given gifts to spread the Word of God to those in our community, and to encourage and equip others to do the same. The staff of Double Springs Baptist Church is excited to see what God is doing and the future of our church in our community.

Dr. Kevin Elders - Lead Pastor

Kevin and his family came to Double Springs in September 2021, and they look forward to serving here for years to come. Since 1997, Kevin has served SBC churches as a youth pastor, associate pastor, and senior pastor, including 14 years serving alongside his father at a church his father started.

Kevin is married to Kelley, and they have three children – Kate, Karsten, and Kallen – all through the blessing of adoption.  Kelley is a CPA with a firm in Greenville.

Kevin enjoys preaching through books of the Bible and ministering to all ages.  Some of his hobbies are lifting weights, playing golf, and following UGA sports and the Atlanta Braves.
