Connie Burton
Connie Burton has a rich history with Double Springs Baptist Church. She attended as a child with her grandparents, Clifton and Marion Lister, who were the Music Director and Pianist/ Organist for over 30 years. Her father and uncle, Phil and Mark Lister, have been life-long members as well. Connie studied Piano and Vocal Performance at Brevard Music Center, North Greenville College and Furman University and subsequently entered the ministry full-time.
She has served as Music Director/ Worship Pastor for 25 years at several local churches including SpringWell Church and Living Way Community Church. She has also ministered to Alzheimer and Dementia Residents through music at The Garden’s at Eastside.
Connie has been married to Joel Burton for 31 years and they have three children: Joel Michael, Pierce, and Abigail. They have two grandchildren, Rylei and Camden.
Connie has a heart for worship and teaching other musicians and vocalists to be worship leaders as well. She enjoys traveling, reading, doing puzzles, and of course, playing piano, guitar, and banjo.
